In these terms, "we", "us", and "Just Stop" mean the operator above; "you" means the person using the service.

2. What Just Stop is

Just Stop is a digital-wellbeing tool that helps people stop gambling. It blocks gambling and gambling-adjacent websites across your Windows PC (via a local network/DNS shield) and in your browser (via our extension), and adds features that make relapsing harder — time-locks, accountability-partner approvals, and self-exclusion request helpers.

The core blocker is free. Some advanced features are part of a paid plan, Just Stop Pro (see our Pricing page).

3. Accounts

To sync your settings and use certain features you create an account with your email address. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and remain responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 18 years old to buy a paid plan and at least 16 to create an account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

4. Licence to use the software

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Just Stop on devices you own or control, for your own personal use. You may not:

• resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the software;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where this is permitted by mandatory law;
• circumvent, disable, or interfere with security or licensing features;
• use the service to break the law or infringe others' rights.

We and our licensors retain all intellectual-property rights in the software.

5. Purchases, billing & renewals

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all orders — Paddle handles your payment, billing, invoicing, and the collection and remittance of applicable taxes, and Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.

• Subscriptions (monthly or annual) renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. Pro Monthly includes a 7-day free trial — you are not charged until the trial ends, and cancelling during the trial costs nothing. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and your Pro features remain active until the end of the paid period.
• Lifetime licence is a one-time purchase for use of Pro features in the current major version line of the app.
• We may change prices or plan features going forward; changes do not affect a period you have already paid for, and we will give reasonable notice of subscription price changes.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable use

Just Stop is meant to protect your own wellbeing. Don't use it to restrict, monitor, or coerce another person without their informed consent, and don't use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to defraud, or violate these terms.

7. No guarantee & not medical advice

Just Stop is a harm-reduction aid, not a cure or a guarantee. Gambling sites change constantly, networks differ, and no blocker can stop every site or guarantee you won't gamble. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the extent permitted by law.

Just Stop is not medical, psychological, or financial advice and is not a substitute for professional help. 8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health, and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), as well as to the extent we have given a guarantee. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation (a "cardinal obligation"), and then only for the foreseeable, typical damage. Any further liability is excluded. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable mandatory law, including your statutory consumer rights.

9. Changes & termination

We may update the service and these terms; for material changes we will give reasonable notice (e.g. by email or in the app), and continued use after the change means you accept the updated terms. You may stop using Just Stop and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end the service or your access for breach of these terms or where required by law.

10. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country where you live remain unaffected. The EU online dispute-resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged and generally not willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
